I recognise that this Bunnies machine is entry level DIY hardware and not meant for serious service, but, considering the limited use it gets it really should well outlast me. I also have had for years now one of the much maligned MLT100 table saws which has been great and gets well used, so they can make good cheap stuff, but, obviously, you take a chance with this gear.

Two lessons learnt, no more Makita, no more tool impulse buys at the green shed - real tools are kept at the specialist tool shops.

    cheers,

It doesn’t matter if they are from the Green Shed or not or what mainstream brand you buy as they are nearly all made in China although they do tend to carry the lower spec items in the respective ranges if their is an option but in a lot of cases it is same same.
Most of Bosch Profesional range is made in China too as is Milwaukee, Hitachi, Dewalt, Hilti etc

We live in a throw away society these days

Sorry to hear about your bad experience Bob.

You must have bought a lemon.

My Makita has been a great saw and hasn't failed once, and has done a lot of work over the years.
