    Default Makita tools

I just thought I'd give makita two thumbs up!

I have an old 2200 router, been in the garage for over 8 yrs since it's last job (morticing merbau newel post)

I plugged it in, away it went! I put in a good quality 'orange' router bit and routed 160 window sashes. I'm impressed!

I also just hold of a 18v planer. It's great, very clean cut. Bit heavy, chews the batteries, but so handy! I fancy the circular saw in the range too.

    Good job makita.

I have to agree with you. So far I have never had a makita tool that did not perform as expected. I have had my circ saw for about 20 years now and still going strong even after putting a disc in it and cutting out a doorway in a brick wall. I could not have cut an even strait line with an angle grinder. Changed the bearings in it a few years ago and expect it to see me out. My plainer is about 15 years and still old good also. Great to clean up recycled timber you would be reluctant to put through the thicknesser. Cant remember how old the hammer drill is. The battery tools are good too but batteries eventually give up the ability to hold a charge and this limits the useful life of the tool. Cant blame makita for that however. I just hope makita keep up the standard and dont go the way of some other tool makers.
    Regards
    John
