    Default Manz Biscuit Joiner

Carbatec are having a clearance sale and are selling the Manz Biscuit Joiner for $84.00. Does anyone have any experiences with these? It's selling elsewhere for $142.00.
    Seems like a good deal?

I have no experience with that make or model but at that price it is a bargain.
I had a play with a friends cheapie that he bought from Aldi for close to $100 and it was surprisingly good. If it is the sort of thing that you'll use only on the odd occasion then that is all you need. Sure beats paying $350 that I paid for my Makita one about twenty years ago that's for sure.

Thanks Stewie. I was thinking along those lines too. Think I'll give it a go...

When I picked one up to look at it, the fence mechanism was extremely flimsy. I thought it was made from tin.

Wellllll isn't that interesting. After sleeping on it over the weekend I had decided to not go ahead with the purchase because
    1. I haven't used one before and have found other ways to work around jointing
    2. If I did get one I may only use it 2-3 times per year.

Some times it pays to hold off.
    Thanks Gents

This looks identical to the Aldi joiner (other than the knobs) which which last appeared at $50 (no doubt they all come out of the same factory in China). By most accounts I've read the Aldi owners seem to be happy with theirs.
