    Talking Mitre Saw

Just received bunning's father's day catalogue-lots of attractive tools (toys). Anyone used the XUI mitre saw 210mm seems a baargain at $49. Thinking of using it to build a deck - don't really need a precision tool I suppose as I could use my triton set up (almost permanently in table saw mode) for the accurate work.

If you want to add $50 to the price of building a deck, then it should be fine cos it probably won't last much after that. If there will be more than one person working on the job, then having more tools can really speed up the process.

I certainly have done that before - when there was 4 of us buliding a large project, I go and buy a cheap and nasty set of tools for everybody and then write them off at the end. There's some significant time saving to be had if everybody has a circular saw (or whatever). It's especially useful if you have a precision tool as a back up.
