NE Melbourne Best Priced Power Tools - Where?
G'Day all,
I'm new to this home renovation game and oh man, where to start? I've got tons of sawing to do - frames etc. I'm looking around for a Slide Compound Saw of some description. I had a look at the Dewalt DW708-XE (heh heh heh). Well, maybe I don't need something that expensive but..
Besides talking to the kids in Bunnings anyone got any suggestions where you can get good priced powertools in North East Melbourne suburbs?
I know it depends heaps on what you are actually buying but any pointers would be great.
Cheers.

Hi ShiftyCraig,
An option is to buy a cheap alternative being the GMC version.
You have two years warranty and they cost a fraction of the price of a DeWalt not that I am suggesting that the quality is equivalent, but it does the job.
The kids at Bunnings will sell you one.
Good luck

I would agree with the GMC comments. How many power tools come with a 2 year warranty in that price range? I've had no complaints.
Also you might want to use Bunnings "we'll beat any price by 10%" offer. I tried this a couple of weeks ago against a Timbecon price and they did as promised.
