Hi.
I want to replace the pads on two of my sanders..the replacement pads are avail in the US, price is prohibitive.
Has anyone sourced the rubber here and made their own ?

Peronally I'd upgrade to a random orbit.

Agree with Woodspirit
I wouldn’t invest much money in those sanders, perhaps grab some backing from Bunnings or Clarkrubber and glue it on. Bunnings has some there that you could cut to size that has adhesive on it
Random Orbitals perform much better. I have a Metabo sander the same as yours and it hasn’t been plugged in for probably 15 years

In New Zealand I bought a replacement rubber pad (genuine Makita part) for my Makita orbital sander about 4 years ago. It wasn't very expensive (about NZ $20 if I remember right)
You should be able to get a price from your local dedicated power tool shop.New Zealand
