Panasonic Combination
I am not going to buy the 18V Panasonic combination drill driver and impact driver on sale for the next three days from Total Tools.
This is because I have the 14.4V version already and really can't justify such a purchase. Actually, my son who had the 14.4V combination about a year before me took one look at the flier and announced he was going to get them. I was surprised, as I know he has just had some expenditure recently. However, it turned out he thought he had lost the drill, which he found tucked away in his ute later in the day. I suspect he will be rethinking that one!
If I was in the market for these beasties I would be down there in a flash. (I think the dirty mac is still around somewhere).
The package includes 4 x 3.3Ah li-ion batteries, charger and carry case. I have to tell you I have not used the 18V versions, but if they are anything like their little cousins I don't think you will be disappointed.
The cost is $649 and I have no connection to Total Tools financial or otherwise.
May I share a little story? At work, in an unguarded moment, I let it slip that I had a VIP car for Spotlight. Naturally there were a host on non PC comments as you would expect. One of my colleagues then proudly announced he had a similar card for Total Tools.
I asked if that meant he was a Total Tool.
We haven't heard a great deal more about my VIP card.

Panasonic 18v cordless drill & driver
Picked up this case with two batteries for $499 from Taits in Melbourne a few months back. Great deal.
Been fantastic. Drill has heaps of grunt as well as driver.
Only prob is no small battery avail yet and the 3.3ah get heavy and the battery weight on the rear of the driver pulls the grip down at the rear when driving down vertically and started to blister the back side of the little finger.
On the plus, drove a full box of couple hundred screws through 20mm cement sheet into laminated beams on one charge.
Apparently jigsaw and other 18v tools about to be released for the same battery line.
Cabinet maker loves the 14v 1.3 ah version but obviously doesn't need torque.

Welcome to the Forums.
Glad you have been pleased with the Panasonics. I did notice that they were noticeably bigger physically than the 14.4V. A lot depends on the application as to whether they suit.Bushmiller;

I have the 21.6 V version - Incredible power and durability. And the battery life is the best I have experienced so far.
