tool cleaning
Gday. What would anyone suggest i clean the merbau stains off my drop saw etc. I use merbau just about everyday and it has stained everything over time. I tried metho but no good. What about some sort of citris cleaner? I need to get it off plastic and metal surfaces. any help? cheers.

might be worth trying napisan- as it works so well cleaning the stain/tannin from the wood itself.
The home-brand ones are just as good so long as they have Sodium Percarbonate as the active ingredient.

Arrrr have ye tried vinegar?
Have a are.... might stain worse.... arrrrrAny thing with sharp teeth eats meat.
Most powertools have sharp teeth.
People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.

I generally use General purpose thinners and a brass wire brush on blades but wouldn't do that on plastic. Lemon juice (real stuff) might work. I use that when my hands are badly stained.
Merbau stain can be a real pain, pity they can't bottle it.
