    Default Portable air inflators

    Hi.
Has anyone used one of these rechargeable inflators - preferably this one :
    https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-b...14-12-29_18-41

I'm wondering whether it has enough puff to pump up a 3.30 metre inflatable (in cordless mode). I currently use a 12 volt inflater, which is on its last legs. I find the cord a real pain - so as I have to replace it then cordless would be great.

I should clarify that by 'pump up' I mean pump up to about 95% of required pressure - at which point the back pressure stops the inflater going any further - and you use a hand pump to put in the last bit and make it rigid. That's how inflaters always work - they don't do compression.

    cheers

And please correct me if I'm wrong about that statement - I'd love to find a 12volt or rechargeable device that does both the inflation and compression stages, so that I end up with a nice hard boat without having to break out the hand pump.

Ok, as there was no feedback I went and bought the Aldi model anyway. What a little ripper! It does have enough puff to do a 3.3 mtr inflatable, in fact could probably do 2 or 3 between recharges - maybe even more I'm not sure as I havent exhausted the first charge yet.

This is a marvellous improvement as I no longer have to have both car and boat alongside each other when inflating the boat - i can inflate the boat anywhere which leads to much less ramp-rage.

    Cheers

Usual disclaimer. - no connection with Aldi.
