How did you go overthehangers? have you bought your tools yet i own a makita ls1040 and makita ls1212. i got the 1040 about 5 yrs ago and have punished it non stop since , its been dropped several times and cut frames for many houses. its on its fifth blade now, and still going strong, my only criticisms of this saw are that it only tips over one way , and that the electric brake never really worked properly. the other main problem is that it tends to tip over backwards easily if not supported properly but i fixed this a couple of years ago by screwing some timber skids under it that project back about 50mm. i have never regretted buying this saw.
