Random Orbital Sander
Home hardware has a special on at the moment for: Makita 100mm angle grinder + random orbital sander + carry bag. All for about $140. Disbelieving, when I visited the shop the random orbital sander turned out to be the Makita 1/3 sheet sander. When I mentioned it (complained) they said the 1/3 sheet sander had 'an orbital motion'. I was fairly p.........d off. I have since heard it advertised on the local radio, mentioned it to the Makita head office who claim it's Home Hardware's incorrect advertisement and want nothing to do with it. Am I justified in being upset or should I just get over it?
If it was Woolies or Coles and they were groceries, I'd have them for free for incorrect advertising.

If you feel strongly enough about it write a letter to the head office ..... no point going off the handle at the poor salesperson who has no control over the situation .....
Otherwise as you said .... get over it.Now proudly sponsored by Binford Tools. Be sure to check out the Binford 6100 - available now at any good tool retailer.

1/3 sheet sander is definitely not a random orbital. I'd be orf too.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

CP, give NSW Office of Fair Trading a call. Even their advise over the phone will set you on the right path and send shivers down the spine of the store manager when you mention that you have contacted them about this issue

Pay for it with Monopoly money. After all it has a "dollar" value.
