Recommendations 10" mitre saw less $500
Hi All
Have read quite a bit of forum, very good stuff
Have have a Robyi CMS245 Mitre saw for 2 1/2years cost about $370
Gearbox died after a year replaced free, now the gearbox has gone again
Cost about $100 in parts....
Since having a Mitre Saw which is mounted in middle of long thin bench down one side of garage, it is just so easy and convent, cann't do without it.
So spend $100 fix it and it goes in another year or so,, or bite the bullet
and get a better quality one which will last

Don,
I would recommend the Makita LS1040. It is very good and very accurate. I got mine for $498 a few months ago but it is down to $450 at Bunnings.

Just thought I'd refresh this thread by saying I just got the LS1040 on sale at Bunnings for $358. The assistant thought I was joking and had to go and check
