i get all of my batteries from ebay.. much cheaper than retail. if you get dewalt batteries make sure they are the xrp as the run time is longer.. you can pick up an 18v battery for about $80.

XRP = 3amh. Pays to look closely as a lot of sellers try and hide this important spec with their batteries.
don't forget that Dewalt Lithium batteries will retrofit 18v drills (not quite the right shape, but they still work ok).
If I were you, I'd buy a Lithium and the new Dewalt charger to charge it.

3ah is what you look for, its about the highest ah you can get on batteries. as for the lithium they seem good but for double the price and maybe slightly more run time i think ill stick with what i have.
