    Hi Kudzu,
what the others said, keep 'em coming. I just love the look of these older machines, they have a bit of style about them, a bit like the Victa lawn mowers from the early '70's (an Aussie icon! ) I'm sure that if you spend as much effort fixing the inner workings you'll have a tool that will have a whole new working life.
BTW, I have mats of old carpet in my workshop at each bench, which work well. I haven't set one alight yet, but I roll them out of the way when welding . I do intend to upgrade and get some of these industrial lock-together plastic ones, sort of hollow checkerboard shape.

    Cheers for now,
    Andy Mac

Yea, I am regular over there.

OK final installment. She is done and ready to be pressed into service. I have two of these drill presses. I refer to them as the twins even so, they are different models but very close in age. I just wheeled this one across the Lab and put her in her place. She is ready for another 50 years of service. Her sister is next on the restoration list. It is in about the same shape as this one was when I started on it. Except it is still usable even though it doesn't look like much.

That only leaves me two machines to restore ..... well there is a 12" jointer on it's way. So three.
