Router bit not concentric
Fired up my GMC router after I hadn't used it for about 12 months and saw that the router bit was not spinning in a concentric manner ie there was a noticeable wobble. The nut was fully tightened and I spun the bit in a cordless drill and it looked fine, what should I look at next?

A new router!
Maybe the collet is grabbing the locknut. If you dismantled the collet and oiled it judiciously so none transfers onto the shank of the bit, that might make it tighten more evenly..
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

Thanks Woodwould, I'll try that once I remember how to get to the collet as it's underneath the Router table.

Had a similar issue at the SHED the other day, Found I had not put the cutter in the collett far enough,.
Stopped the machine set it deeper , no more trouble, however if the machine is a GMC , you would do well to ensure that the top bearings are not worn, .
