Default Router Table Extension Wing for TSC 10HB

    Hi all,

Does anyone have one of these [URL=http://www.carbatec.com.au/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=180_420_19805[/URL] for their TSC 10HB tablesaw?

What do you think of it/

    Is it worthwhile/

    Thanks

You can never have enough planes, that is why Mr Stanley invented the 1/2s

when I bought my TSC 10HB the router extension table came with it, not an extra anymore. I have a Triton mounted in it and it works well.

I put mine on a contractors 12" TS and it works well although the "workings improved further" on adding an additional melamine extension, a T-track and adding an adjustable router fence with T-track to the TS fence.

    Thanks for the replys.

As room is a little tight, my thoughts are that when I sell triton and upgrade to cabinet saw, I may also sell triton router table.

I would assume the carbatec router extension table is better than the triton table, it certainly looks more substantial, and it would take up less room as well.

When the fence is removed, does the table remain, and does this give greater capacity for the saw?

    Correct.

I have VERY little room in my shed so the router table side of my TS butts up against the end of my workbench. The TS is also slightly proud of the workbench so I can used the whole 2m long bench to to support long bits of wood if I need to.

It's a little awkward routing from the side but in my shed I have no option and one does get used to it.

    Cheers

I have the same saw with the Carbatec version. It stays on the saw and gives me a bigger table (basically two wings to the right of the blade. I use the saw rip fence with some (very)sacrificial MDF to protect the fence. I am not entirely happy with it as the hole is round and I want to fit a router raizer (sp?) which means drilling throught the table and the insert rings are not the best. I think the carbatec one has a rectangular hole and takes a normal plate which would be a big improvment. I am debating whether to ditch it and use a laminated MDF insert between the fence rails. That would allow me to put in some strategic mitre slots which my version lacks. I certainly would not buy another one sight unseen. Good luck.

    G'day Pedrofrosty,

have a look at this link from Grizzly in the US pages 19 and 67:

    http://images.grizzly.com/grizzlycom...g1023slw_m.pdf

it may help you out failing that PM me your fax no: if you have one and I'll fax the instructions to you. The Grizzly site has the same stuff as the C/tec, just rebadged but with much better manuals unlike our Chinglish version.
I make things, I just take a long time.

Pusser, I've fitted one of the Carbatec router tables to my tsc 10hb also, and it interferes with the saw regardless of where I put it. I fitted it to the right and it limits the extent to which you can open the access door to the cabinet as well as blocking the bracket for hanging the mitre gauge.

Even though I knew the answer, I took the bastard off and hung it to the left just to prove it interfered with the wheel on that side. DOH!!

Has anyone found a better answer to this problem? (don't say but a different saw - it was hard enough to find the cash for this one)

wally pete..... I like you mounted it on both sides of the saw bench to find the best position. The router does interfere with the angle adjustment wheel but by raising the router the wheel can be turned ok. I made a jig for routing using the saw fence as a positioner works well but.. it tied up the saw. In hindsight I should have made a decated router table...
