    Default Router Table Setup

I’m after some information please. My table saw is 50” on the right hand side and I’m cutting a hole in to take a router. What I would like to know is if it makes a difference which way the router plate sits on the table. Landscape or portrait if you understand my meaning.
    Thank you in advance.

It's usual to run the plate with the long side parallel to the fence. I guess you're using the table saw fence for the router as well?

I think the most important thing is that you have good access to your router. That you can reach the speed wheel or other things you need to reach. Depending on how the router is mounted you put it in landscape ore portrait.
