Ryobi BT-3100K or....?
Hi,
I've got a very limited amount of cash for a table saw...around $800 max. I can get a Ryobi BT-3100k for $807. Is there anything else that would be better for the same bux?
I simply can't spend any more than this so the $1000 machines are out of my reach, plus they seem a bit heavy to be moved around.
I want to do some pretty accurate "small" box/cabinet,bookshelf/loudspeaker type woodwork. I have very limited room, and whatever I use will be wheeled/packed in the corner of a single garage after each use. I'm a casual woodworker at the moment, not a dedicated compulsive obsessive ).
I'm unlikely to ever cut something much more than an inch thick.
If I need it, I have access to a large panel saw that eats 4x8 sheets of board for breakfast, so I can always cut larger stuff to smaller stuff for finishing.
Will I likely be disappointed? Forget it totally? Do I have any options.
I've had a Triton in the past, but was never really happy with it - forever adjusting to get any sort of accuracy....
help appreciated
cheers
Gary

Save a little more
I think you are going to have another orange experience with the Ryobi.
Wait and save up just a little more and get into the 900 - 1000. Much better quality.
For example - for $895;
Attachment 42491

For $995;
Attachment 42492

good luck

Can't bring myself to spend the dough without actually seeing one in the flesh )

2325g
I've recently bought one of the Ledacraft 2325g's, and am very happy with it. Paid $770 with an additional 100tooth blade inc. tax.
Which side of Melbourne are you on? I got mine from Frank at Northern Machinery in Preston.
Cheers, Steve

Hi Steve,
I'm in east Keilor, so visiting Preston would not be a problem.
I'll go and check it out
