Sanding belts odd size hard to get
Hi Guys
Went to buy some new sanding belts for my old B & D belt sander ( about 20 years old and still will not die ) took three places and found two packs so bought them both $3.50 per belt ( a bit rich ).
So has anybody got any ideas where to buy belts size is 407 x 63 or 410 x 65 both sizes will fit or should I look at new belt sander
Many thanks
Don

Try a trade tool shop - in Brisbane we have Trade Tools and Glenfords
who supply a large range of belts and might be able to help you, the trick will be finding the equivalent shop in Vic

Last year I got some of the same belts made for me through the Tools for Trade ? outlet in Ringwood. I needed to order 10 belts at a cost of $ 20. Took about 3 weeks to get them.

Thanks for the replies guys
Rang up nortons and there works were "that's an old size" " but we still made it but the storte will have to order it" sure I thought @ $3.50 per belt
Then after reading the replies about custom made belts rang Kingston Tool Supplies and asked about belts the guy there said "yes no problems"
"min qty 12 at about $2.20 per belt" So it looks like I buy some of thoses....
But starting looking at new belt sanders ( mine look like a dinasor ) maybe buy a new one, but it is only 20 years old....
So now new sander or custom belts or new sander or custom belts or etc
Thanks Don
