Maybe I'am the dumb one but can somebody please explain the difference between compond saw and SLIDING compond saw

Compound are basically hinged so they are pulled down sutting th etimber.
The siding compound allows you to pull down and then slide towards the opperator. This allows for cutting of wider boards.
Both sould allow for cuts that angle horizontal and vertical to the board.

Sliding saw slides!
i.e. the blade/motor part slides from front to back on rail(s), allowing you to cut wider boards on the saw.How much wood could the woodchuck chuck if the woodchuck could chuck wood?

It has track/rail/tube on which to slide the saw out, so you can cut wider stuff.
A compound is fixed on to the base.
