Screw Driver Bits
Hi
If I have posted in the wrong section, please forgive me, could you move it where it should be.
I couldn't find anywhere else to add this question.
I need to buy some screw driver bits ( i think that's what there called ) the bits that go on the end of a drill to screw in screws.
Well i have been looking at them on ebay and i would like to know are double enders good or should i buy single ends.
Please don't yell at me for adding the links to ebay i didn't know how else to show you what i mean.
And is Phillips head #2 the only size because I am sure there are smaller and or bigger sizes.
Thank you in advance for any advice you can help me with.
Lu

Panic not heartofhush, panic not. When you have an hour to spend go to your local hardware store, one that will allow you to walk around undisturbed and look; just look. A lot is to be learned simply from seeing what is available and how and where you may be able to use it now and in the future. Advice in-store is only a question away.
In regards to your screw bits, they are freely available in any hardware store you care to name and are cheap to boot. A very few dollars will buy you a double ender 3" long. Buy a couple. But ask the storeman how to set up your drill if that's what you're using to drive your screws. The drill needs to be slowed down and clutched otherwise you will won't be driving anything for long and will become frustrated. Another thing, whilst you are carrying out the instructions in paragraph 1, learn the difference between phillips no. 2 and posidrive. You'll thank me later.

I was really unhappy with the "normal" Irwin ones. Not cheap, wear fast and slip.
3 common phillips sizes + as mentioned posidrive.

Yes Lu,
You'll find heaps of difference brands and qualities at most hardware & tool shops.
Some are rubbish, ie, too soft & chew out or too hard & snap;
so it's a matter of finding a local supplier who has quality bits that last.
Also consider "square drive" screws plus "hex drive" screws
as they drive easier, and very positively into your timber.
Cheers, Crowie
