seperator problems ?
well i finaly built a seperator from some large 44gallon plastic drums in the likes of what others have done, it's all correct and works a treat, have no leaks, but suction has droped so much that it's not worth 2 bob...
it's a 2hp with the twin inlets, bag type (was),i used 4in pipe, the suction was not to bad right in front of the drum, but i but a y in it to go top and bottom on my tablesaw, now it's not even enough suction to pick the dust of the floor, i have straight runs of pvc pipe and only about 2m in total, so it's reall close to the drum...
has anyone else had this problem...or can suggest something...
looks like it might be back to tthe bag set up tomorrow...Hurry, slowly

Maybe you have a leak around the drum lid?
I made one 2 years ago and havent had a problem with it.

i wanted it a taller one so i would not have to empty so often, the seperation is great, only air comes out the other end, vertually no dust...i just had a look at the seals and a few mill hear and there of silicon had shifted and produced a hairline hole or 2, i fixed that, i'm assuming that this idea needs a seal tighter than a ticks a$$ to work...

ok...patched a few leaks and seems to be pretty good, i think the main problem was that i had 4in from the drum split intto 2 4in in and thhe suction was halved in each pipe, running a single 4inn only and it seems to be very good...i think i would need to use 6in in the drum and to the blower and then i could maybe have the 2 4in inlets...
question is...has anyone apart from the link above used 6in in there separator...Hurry, slowly
