O/S ShopVac Filter Source
Hi everyone, first post here.
I'm after a source for ShopVac filters, I have read this thread:

(and in particluar this post from bitingmidge, thanks incidentally)

Or about $12.00 AUD including postage from <ST1leevalley

I am after the Shopvac 903-40 filter in particular, and was wondering if anyone has found a company (U.S. most likely, and other than leevalley who no longer stock this filter) that will ship to Australia. I have had no luck thus far, and even had one (vacrus.com) reply that they do not ship to Australia even though their shipping policy says that they ship worldwide (go figure).
Any help would be appreciated, and seeing as you guys are the experts (enough sucking up?),
I thought I'd try here.

Anthony,
Thanks for the thanks! I have had a quick squizz at the LeeValley site and there appear to be still two options in stock:
The Standard ShopVac Filter at $6.95US
And the HEPA Filter at $27.50 US if you want to vacuum bacteria sized bits.
Cheers,
P

Thanks again, yeah I have seen those, the HEPA filter is a step down from the filter model I quoted. It also is HEPA rated however is made of a goretex material (also known as the Cleanstream filter, which lv no longer stock - bummer) and is far more durable (i.e. can be washed without degrading). It is also around the same price (spotted prices from about $US25 to $US34), and seems to be better value. Reviews are something like "the only filter you'll ever need".
Perhaps someone from the States reading this may know who there ships internationally?

Just had a thought that this does not necessarily relate to stores that sell vacuums as such.
Any forum member who wants to post the name of an online "woodworking" store that ships to Australia, then please do and I'll search from there.
Many Thanks,
Anthony

Well I finally managed to find someone to sell me the filter I was after. For those that have a Shop-Vac you might be interested to know that a far superior filter is available as in the link below:
http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx?familyid=4582
I have just ordered this and costs come to $32 USD including surface mail shipping. Equating to ~$42 AUD, which is still significantly less than our favourite hardware store sells the garden variety paper filter ($56).
