Exclamation Stanley 90497 Belt Sander (4x24) NEED RUBBER BELT

I need some assistance if you can help. My vintage Stanley 90497 belt sander needs a new rubber belt. The belt is apparently discontinued and no longer available. This is a vintage sander, circa 60s-70s. Stanley was later bought out by Bosch who produced the same sander with same 90497 number. The belt is 9/16" wide x 14 1/8" long with 60 teeth. Flea Bay lists belt # 3604736505 as a replacement. My research is unable to verify the specs of the belt. Pictures of the belt look smaller than what I have. Unable to email the seller on Flea Bay to verify. The sander is fantastic, built like a tank. I'd hate to retire it, but my effort to find a belt so far have been in vain. Can anyone assist with information that could help me? Much thanks!

You could take the existing belt to a place that deals in industrial power transmission and see if they can make a replacement.

A toothed belt is generally referred to as a timing belt, so have a Google for timing belt profiles and see if you can figure out what type it is

That's exactly what I ended up doing. I found a belt manufacturer that can duplicate the belt. Thanks for the suggestion.
