Any saw doctor should be able to open the bore out to whatever size you need

Yep

There are 2 realistic options, imo.

1. Get a (cheapish) blade to fit without a flat top grind and have the teeth re-sharpened to the grind you want. Probably most sensible to get one of your used blades cleaned re-ground & sharpened, but it is up to you.

2. If you are after a high quality blade, call Henry Bros in Sydney, tell them what you want (which is probably 8/14 x 40tooth x 30m arbor) and get them to source one of their high quality German made blades, perhaps reground if not manufactured that way.

Another option is to go with a triple chip blade, which has a raker tooth to give you a similar effect to a FTB grind

The raker teeth on triple chip blades are lower than the profiled teeth, so you won't actually get a flat bottom in the cut

Another alternative is to purchase an additional (i.e. spare) arbor nut/blade flange - the one with the blade recess into which the blade fits - & get it machined down to the requisite new (smaller, approx 16mm) arbor size. That way you're free to choose whatever blade you require, and have both sized mounting flanges available to you.

Any half decent lathe-equipped machine shop should be able to perform this in a trice, for the price of a couple of beers I'd suspect.

Carbitool in a Moorabbin will sell you the blade and bore it out . You’ll have to ask them about the teeth . I ordered an 18” rip blade from them . I just assumed a rip only blade had flat square ends to the teeth. What I got in the post was supposedly rip but with angled teeth . To me that’s a combination cut ?? Any way I wore it and kept the blade , couldn’t be bothered re posting . Just make sure the fine details are right is what I’m getting at .
I do have a proper rip flat cut . It’s only 15” . I like the finish it leaves in the bottom of cut . At 4mm kerf it’s handy quick trenching first drawer making and the like .

I have found Dieter Schmidt to be a very straight shooter - his descriptions of his products are honest and products are well chosen. He might have suitable blades:

I have never used Klein blades so cannot comment on quality.

Im in the west, so will have to pop down to coburg, perhaps one time after work as im in thomastown.
If not did find a blade on carbitool which i could ask about a rebore.
