    Default Thicknessers

    Afternoon everybody,

    I have just purchased a new thickness planer from Carba-tec (CT-317) arrives next Friday.

    As far as I am aware it does not come with a dust hood, maybe wrong there? I have searched the bb and can't find anything about making a dust hood, there was some threads but no actual pictures etc.

    I have been to to the triton woodworkers site and had a look at the mod there for the GMC thicknesser.
    Noting that they are all basically clones of one another;
    My question is this:
    a. will it fit my new thicknesser
    b. what are the actual dimensions used in the website?

    thanks for any help.
    Jason.
    If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people like me ask? Do I get smart just in time to ask questions?

    also have a look at

    www.tritonwoodworkers.org.au

    and click on the jigs and modifications button in the left hand menu bar. There's a detailed description showing a mod Stuart did to his GMC model which would apply to your too.
    If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.
