    Exclamation Tip: Carbatec Tenoning Jig

When you purchase a Carbatec Tenoning Jig open within the store and ask to run it through some of the on display tablesaws as sometimes the fit is so tight it won't move.

Recently bought this jig for my Carbatec TSC-10HB saw and found that is didn't fit the track. Was out by 0.1-0.2mm. Took it back to the Sydney office and it didn't fit their on floor display machine either but did fit other models. They tried other jigs they has in stock, same problem. Left with them too organise grinding down to fit the slot. They took the whole assembly apart and managed to file a little paint off the side of the jig rail & gave the track in the table saw a quick general file to remove any burrs left from original machining, gave it some lubrication & bingo they manage to get to fit and silde. Very tight, but after a few more slides up and down the table it started too get better.

Sydney Carbatec were very understanding & service was great.

Just a friendly tip for everyone

At least the bar was not too loose. Now you should have a jig that will yield well-fitting tenons, if you can fit a dial gauge to the jig, so that you can make precise adjustments. I would still prefer to make my own jig and save the money, though.
