    Default Any tool specials? - SCMS, Makita Plane, Drill

    Happy New Year everyone,

    I have just started renovations on a flood damaged property and it is a good excuse to add to my tool collection. I was hoping for a heads up on any post Christmas discounts for the bigger purchases. I am located in Brisbane. I am doing my own research but it is slow going. I am looking at:

    1. SCMS - looking at the Metabo with induction motor, although a couple of Tradetools brand units could be a good alternative (GP255S, 7120):

    2. Makita electric plane - probably the KP0810
    3. Makita two speed hammer drill with variable speed. Are there any available with a torque limit setting, similar to most cordless drills?
    4. Cordless drill, but haven't looked into an yet.
