    Default Triton 1400W router

I finally got around to using my new Trition router. It took some time with the depth control etc, but it WORKS supremely well for hand-held use. Better than my 4 Makitas (not the laminate trimmer), and the larger Triton cousin which sits in the router table.

The on-off switch is well located, the soft start / variable speed is superb.

It's well balanced, and runs like a dream..

    George,

Good to hear someone else loves their Triton.

The reason/s for some many routers is simple / by "necessity".

The single speed Makita (a bad first purchase) sits in the Triton router table. Good for small bits, profiling etc.

The two soft start / variable speed 3 HP Makitas are different. One sits permanently on the WoodWizz, the other with template fixed for use for the Leigh dovetail jig.

The big Triton is use on another cr*ppy router table with larger bits, mostly slot cutters.

The smaller Makita (can't remember the model no) is for 1/4 shank bits, but I like the trigger switch. As for the laminate trimmer, great for small round overs, letting in hinges etc.

Would be without any of them!

    Now all I need is....

While I don't have as many Makita Routers as you do, I do have a total of 7. All like you have their individual uses.
