TSC-10HB: missing bolts, needs references
Hi all,
Yesterday I received my TSC-10HB table saw from Timbecon and I started to assemble it
I was hoping to finish it tonight but when it came to the point of assembling the rails (front and back) for the fence I realised that the bolts and nuts are not there
Timbecon might have forgotten
I looked everywhere, in the cartons but nothing
Since I want to start using it this weekend, I can 't be bother wait for next weeke and ask Timbecon to send me the missing parts
I am planning to go to bunnings to buy them but the problem is that the manual says: hex bolts, etc...
Nothing about the size, type , length, etc....
Could anybody tell me the references of all the bolts used to fix the rails
According to the schematics it seems there are 2 or 3 types
Thanks for your help
Eric

Hi Eric,
I have the Align A Rip on my saw and the sequence is facing the fron of the saw
Align Angle with outside edge of left hand extension wing. All overhang on front and rear rails is to the right hand side.
Angle is fixed with countersunk screws (phillips head) and nuts and sequence from left is:
Fit screw, fit screw, miss four, fit screw, fit screw, miss two. You should have one screw in each extension wing and two on the main table. Rail is bolted from the underside of angle with 1/4 inch hex head bolts that are tapped into rail.
Hope this is some help.
cheers,
RodCheers,

Hi Rod,
Thanks for that
The fence I have in this table saw is the same
Would you mind giving the length and size or type (M10 for instance) of the countersunk screws to fix the front angle and rear rails as well as the rail that is bolted on the angle rail
Thanks for that

Rear Rail 4 of 5/16 inch - 18 UNC by 1inch long screws
Front anglel 4 of 5/16 inch - 18 UNC by 1 inch long contersunk screws.
The manual describes lock washers and nuts but I though the holes were threaded. Easy to check on your table and extension wings - if not threaded get lock washers and nuts as well. A second look it seems like the extension wings aren't threaded but the main table is.
Front rail 5 or 6 of 1/4 inch hex head - 20 UNC by 5/8 inch log bolts. Diagram shows 5 but parts list shows 6 so count you rail to confirm. I do remember these are threaded so no need for nuts but spring washers would be good insurance.
I don't think Bunnings would stock UNC and countersunk UNC might be pushing it a bit. Try one of those car bits merchandiser as you would be more likely to score there. Bunnings will have Whitworth and metric and mainly geared to the building trades than metalworking or automotive trades.
Good luck and I hope this helps.Cheers,
Rod
