I have been down the road of cheap nail guns and it ALWAYS leads back to getting hold of a quality gun. I you look on the classifieds there are always reasonably priced guns for sale, Bostitch, Senco, Paslode would be the three that I would go for.

They arrived and I gave them a small run yesterday. SWK was right they're a light metallic green. They seem very similar to the standard hitachi guns that have good reviews.....full metal casing on the framer etc. So far they both seem to work ok but I'll give the framer a good hitout during the week. The downside was the nozzle watsys were a smaller gauge and I had to zip down to TMH to grab the right sizes for $10.

Happy with the value so far at $268 delivered.

What I have found from using the cheaper nail guns, is that they all work alright, but they seem to lack the power of the better brands. If you are only going to use on pine, you will probably be ok, but you will see they seem to lack the power to drive into hardwood. The framers are bad for this because of the nail thickness.

Anyway I'm glad your happy with your purchase. I will be interested in your comments after more use.

PS Don't be temped to over pressure them to improve performance, this will only damage the working parts inside.

The framer has done well mostly on pine and the only time it didn't drive 75 mm nails home was on a large laminated beam but a few taps with the hammer sorted that. You would be right about it lacking power for hardwood specialist. Overall though I'm still happy with the guns.

Looks like an original, they come in that light colour, just make sure you run it at the right pressure with a filter regulator removing the moisture & oil it daily
