    Default CNC Biesse

Hello Mr. Sumidh, how are u.
Thanks for your information on the sight. You may help me with my problem.
We have a woodworking factory in Saudi Arabia and today we do all the work by hand with primitive tools. Now we ar investing and thinking to buy one CNC machinery Biesse Rover 23 and the problem is that we do not know about these machineries and we wanna learn it and as we got the information that we must have the professional help to handle this cnc machine and we got to contact the company to hire a engeneer to train our personals. Now the question is that how you can help us with the information about that, is it so difficult to handle these machines. Can you help us with a competent trainer? Please let us know and what you know and can help with.
Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

    Default hey people,

For about 10 years we've had an old Lynix based Rover 322 that we use to do the boring of our joinery units and milling of smaller desk tops and so on, in July we took delivery of a Rover C Edge 9.85 to handle our shaped work stations. While the boring and milling is similar on both machines, the edge banding side of the machines operation is fairly complex and on top of that you have the programable work tables that can be controlled through ISO commands, so all in all a real test of patients and concentration. My role is programming both these machines (and others) using Pytha, Analyzer and Hops which I find works really well for the older machines once there setup properly and Pytha, Analyzer to Biesse Works for the new machine. Get to know the Pytha and Analyzer software as well as you can and the more you know about VB scripting the better off you'll be. Analyzer is an extremely powerful tool if you use right and ask the guys at Pytha as many questions as you need, that's what they're there for. Good luck and hang in there.

I've been tasked with the unenviable position to get to know it backwards and forwards (the original guy quit and took all his knowledge with him). So I thought maybe we could start a new thread and talk about all things Biesse. I only say unenviable because no one else wants to take it on because when something goes wrong everyone glares at me because I don't have the answers immediately ready for them (the Biesse operator has gone twice to the owner and complained because I can't solve all his woes in an instant). It is running fairly smoothly but we still have a few hiccups and a lot of refinements that need to be discovered (we're not entirely sure of an efficient system yet) and implemented.

We actually have two systems running parallel to each other. One has CabGenie to Biesse Works to the Rover B, the other is Pytha to Analyzer to Enroute to the XNC editor on the Rover B. And I'm suppose to become the resident expert on all of them. Eight months ago I had never heard of any of these softwares let alone knew how to use them . So you see if there is anyone that is willing to offer up knowledge I would be more than appreciative.

TopSolid'Wood has been developed directly from a "real" full featured cad/cam system and as such has no limits with regards to product design and complexity etc. The machining (cam) gives the user a full 3d model of the entire machine so you can see exactly where the cutter is going and how its going to get there.

We have post processors for Biesse and all other popular makes of routers

Well, thats the quick and dirty sales pitch so if any of you would like to see it first hand give me a call and we will arrange a demo.

can inventorCAM output to CID file? ifso, Biesseworks will read a CID file, and you can acutually runs the CID file inside the worklist. you need to have biesseworks open in the background so it will auto read the CID file.

we just put in a skill 2412 with biesseworks and have CADCODE outputting the optimised file out as a CID file untill CADCODE get their self organised and write the post for it

Thumbs up If I can Help

Have worked on Biesse since 1993 to include wany different controlers and I for one do not use Biesse works as it is nothing but an overlay for the machine. It has no system to run all the IO addresses so you should have Machine data or so called dati macc within your wrt directory. Give a look as for posting out .BPP code that is Biesse spa proprietary code and do not believe you will get a past from a vendor to quickly as it belongs to Biesse SPA. If running Alpha Cam as I do and agree it is a tremendous program as I work in 2d and 3d with the same program just use different post depending on the work. This creats the .ANC code to run the machine which you can see within the standard program editor and not in Biesse works. If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] and I will try to answer your questions time allowing.
    Have a great day
    Sincerely Jack
