Metabo Duo - Mine was from Bunnings when they decided not to stock highend tools and sold what they had at rediculous prices. Got a Bosch jigsaw in a similar fashion and price. Keep your eyes open, someone in each store seems to have the power to clear out stock that's not moving, but you have to know your prices and be in the right place at the right time.
Cheers Graeme

Maybe if I had a Festool one, I'd regret having the green Bosch 5" one, but over the past 18 years I've worn out one, and bought a second one & am still happy with them
They're not as readily available as they used to be, though...
What wore out was the 'nut' that the sanding pad bolts onto- its thread eventually became ineffective, but it had done plenty of work, starting with sanding all the plasterboard ceilings of our house (300 sq metres) and gyprock wall filler & jointing plaster, then on to many routed timber signs (hardwood), and goodness knows what else.
Sometimes I wish the hook & loop fastener would stick better, though.
Hope that helps.
In 1992 it cost about $140 on special at Mitre-10. The replacement
in 2006, it was about $135 on special at Mitre-10.

Does anyone know anything about the quality of AEG power tools?
The AEG 150mm Random Dual Orbital Sander #EX150E has almost the same specs as the Metabo Duo but at $268, is almost $120 dollars cheaper than the Duo at Just Tools.
It sounds like a better deal than the Metabo if it doesn't vibrate your hand off. It would be good to hear from anyone who has used one.Graeme

I agree. My previous sanders were a couple of cheapies, then a Bosch followed by a Makita BO6030.
Although the Makita was a 'good' sander, when I used the Rotex I decided to sell the Makita because I knew I wouldn't use it again, not while the Rotex was available. The ETS 150/3 is just as underused says, smooth and easy.
I picked up the Rotex second hand and saved a few bob that way, it works perfectly.
