My Workshop
Thought I’d post an image of my new workshop, we recently moved house and my condition for moving was a decent sized shed, I think I’ve got it. Moving workshop was a serious hassle I filled a 10 cubic mtr skip with rubbish and took 2 full days to move (the house only took a day).
I now have free run of a 164 sq mtr shed J , half is currently used for storage (ute and trailer etc) and I’ve set the other half to be totally woodwork related.
I still have to finish the electrics and come up with a permanent layout, I’m getting there though. Who knows I might even become tidier (so far so good).
I’m currently building the bed on the left of the photo.
Cheers
Dave

I've heard of having a comfy chair in your shed but a double bed?
Sorry. Just jealous.

It’s a King size even !!
I have to say that this shed is the culmination of many years of sometimes subtle and occasionally heated negotiation with SWMBO, there is hope guy’s you just need determination and a load of nagging "how do you expect me to make all your furniture in there!" etc etc.
All I need now is some cash to upgrade the machinery………. “oh darling !!!”

So you think you've go a nice BIG shed.
Bet you its too small in six months.
Remember junk expands to occupy available space!
Nice. Mine looked like that once.

oh yes I know that rule, my old one was approx half the size and that seemed huge when I moved in, by the time I moved out I could hardly move in the place.
Hopefully (and I doubt it ) that’s a lesson learned.
Maybe post a picture of yours so I can get an idea of what to do or
not to do
When you have a large shed other people try to fill it too "can you store this in your shed for a week or two" 12 months latter it's still there !!.
Cheers

Truly awful.
All that equipment you need to do basic woodworking and nowhere to put it. A snag. A real snag. I really don't have any good advice for you except that you need to move - definately a bigger shed is required. Don't take no for an answer.
A bit of peace and quiet in the shed, apart from the 85dB of the table saw etc. etc., is necessary in every man's life.
Never mind this view of "be satisfied with what youv'e got"; never mind those losers who say "it will break the bank or your relationships", my view is go for it - a shed is a shed forever.
BTW and apropos of nothing, I understand thatthere is a press release from Mattel that Ken and Barbie are breaking up but are going to stay good friends - apparently there is going to be a Divorce Barbie!
She now comes with all the accessories and Ken's gear as well!!Pete J
