Workshop wiring
Hey all
Curious as to what type of wiring you have got in your workshop. ie 2.5mm 3 core etc, 4 core, 5 core and so on.
I have 3 core 4mm (2 + earth) and just using standard power tools. When I built the workshop I put in extra conduit for whoever gets it next - well so it seems now anyways.

By shed is on a normal circuit from the house so anything more than 2.5mm 2 core + earth is unnecessary.

Have a new circuit for mine with earth leakage detection, 30amp circuit just to cover myself, only have two power points at this time as the sparky has not been back yet, when he does I will have 10 double outlets around the walls.
Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

Currently I have 2 active phases in my shed, but wiring for a third is in place and waiting for when I have the third phase brought in from the street. I'm running 10mm feed from the main board on the house. I have 4 power circuits in the shed (2.5mm on 2 phases) with 5 double GPOs on each, still not enough though! I've just been given some 5 pin (3 phase plus neutral) outlets and plugs with the appropriate circuit breakers by my sparky next door neighbour. I'll be wiring these up some time soonish, plus 2 more 5x GPO circuits on the third phase and then getting three phase connected to the main board. I must be a megalomaniac as I want more power!
