    Considering that you could buy one brand new for around $20. I'd say this is a major rip off.

    The ebay user is "HRT Holden Warehouse", maybe they think it some sort of power tool tribute to the Holden Torana. Idiots!

    Bunnings were selling these for $20.. Dont go there, these are a throw away item, as are most of these $20 tools

    Good luck to the guy if he gets the money..

    I have zero respect for someone trying this on - and he will know what he's doing, if you look at the other items he sells. :mad:

    i bought mine for $15 and is the biggest waist of money for a tool i have ever had.(i didnt want to use my good sander as it was a bugger of a job at the time)
    last week i even allowed my wife to use it :eek: when she complained i pulled out my makita and she thought it was a rolls royce compaired to the xu1
    the clamps that hold the sand paper on are a joke and rip the sand paper after 1 or 2 minutes of use

    It's criminal. The charge times also give it away - I admit to buying a drill 2 years ago. Even my GMC cordless is quality by comparison.

    I believe XU1 is made by Ozito exclusively for the big B.

    I bought a similar "Iron Horse" sander some time back used it once , anyone who wan'ts to pick it up free is welcome to it.:mad:
    The vibration through these is terrible , 10 mins and you can't use that hand again for an hour.

    Actually, they did comment. My recollection is that they tested 12 real 12V cordless drills (the panasonic shone with it's 3.5amp/hr battery) and out of curiosity they tested the XU1 too, but they did not include it with the main test.

    The reason beng that the test was to drill screws flush into 32mm chipboard. The XU1 was unable to sink even one screw flush .

    Seriously.

    The tiny town of Millmerran has a community project in progress making small concrete backed mozaics for signeage in and out of the shire.

    The slabs are formed in small moulds after first placing stones and glass using a sand embedment technique.

    Mortar and concrete are poured successively over the top. It is essential to exclude all air and ensure all the aggregates flow. Our method of vibration is an old orbtal sander fixed upside down (by screws through the pad) underneath a sheet of ply which itself is held up by blocks of wood to give clearance. The mould is placed on top of this contraption and the sander turned on for up to 30 secs. Works a treat.

    Your hand numbing machine is just the job. Warmng up the mazdarati as we speak. Oh....hold on a tick..... 750kms! Fuel @ 1.29c! Might have to drop into Bunnies for a $17.95 special.
