    Default zero clearance insert

my TS has 3.5mm depth for zero clearance insert, not much.
I've made one from masonite but not sure it its going to be rigid enough
too much pressure and she moves, even when screwed in place

    what do others use ?

is this the right forum to post this question ?

    thanks

On benches like that you would use an insert with a step routed round the edge. You would need something good & hard like masonite to hold up on the edges but some ply laminated to the bach of it then machined away would sort your problem.
    cheers
Any thing with sharp teeth eats meat.
    Most powertools have sharp teeth.
    People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.

go to the $2 shop and get some plastic chopping boards. They are fantastic.

The nylon chopping boards are also great for a quick saw blade clean up...
Is it wrong to be in love with a sawbench?
