Fishing with a 28 Tonner
Not sure if this has been done before ????
We had to fill in a small dam on our property to make way for the septic system.
Whilst in the process of filling, the excavator operator noticed fish starting to apear in the decreasing water.
So, he went fishing with a 28T excavator....... not the cheapest form of fishing I'm sure.
We eventually borrowed a landing net from the neighbor and scooped the rest out, relocating them to the lake.
Interestingly we haven't had a flood up here since 2011 so these fish have been landlocked since then.
It was full of fresh water shrimp, catfish, yelloweye mullet and of course the good old eels. ( catfish and mullet approx 30cm )
It was a welcome distraction from the relentless earthworks that had been going on for 4 weeks.
