G'Day Fellas, I'm new at this so here goes. My hubby has a5lt.oak wine keg which i filled with water so it wouldn't dry out problem is now there are great globs of gunk MOULD coming out of it. PLEASE HELP

Been a long time since I played around with zymurgy, but from memory your best bet is to drain the water out, rinse, and then sterilise it with just boiling water or steam.
Don't use chemicals, as they can be absorbed into the wood and make the barrel more or less unusable...
...although I also vaguely remember a citric acid & sulfide (I think) solution being popular for wine barrels.

thanks mate will try the boiling water. Also heard the stuff u sterilise beer bottles with is ok or would this go into wood too
