I went over to BIL's place the other day and he informs me that there's vintage machinery show happening at Kumbia (near Kingaroy) in September and that the organizers , a couple of chainsaw nuts like me , will be displaying and demonstrating there vintage chainsaws and asked if I wanted to go ,display, and run our saws and also do a milling demo ! Dumb question , but I knew that , that comment was bait so I said to right .
That being said I've set my self the task of getting a few of our out of commission saws up and running the first cab off the rank is a 1966 125cc Auto Danarm that my old friend Tony B had given us (he has since passed away so this saw is very sentimental to us ) I had determined that the coil had packed it in (this was a few years ago that I'd diagnosed that) but where to get a coil ,enter BIL picking up a well used Danarm of same vintage at a swap meet for spares woo bloody hoo ! Swapped out the coil cleaned and set the points, I had previously replaced the crank seals and re-kitted the carby so after priming the carb and running it enough to draw fuel up to the carb it starts and runs great , two pulls on choke pop, choke of and it starts I have made a short video of it running

The next cab of the ranks is our 1958 Solo Rex that is having problems with the auto-oiler.
any way cheers Peter.
