Default Added sawdust bucket to my forklift

I have added a 1 yard trap door bucket to my stationary sawmill. I use a leaf blower to push the dust off the mill then push this bucket through it to pickup and dump the sawdust. One of the extra efforts needed for a stationary mill, I did very much enjoy the portable mill, but those jobs have dropped off after the real estate market crash.

I will be adding hydraulic cylinders and control them from the forklift controls. The binders helped me test it out, moved about 15 yards.

Right now the horse folks purchase the sawdust. Wood heat is big here so that would be a nice product to have. Last time I looked the presses and found they were expensive. Do you know of an economical unit?

The leaf blower is a good idea. Don't know why I didn't think of that. I usually put the sawdust removal job off until I can't get past it then do the same as you and bucket it away. Horse types take some of mine but most gets composted.
That forklift would be good in my mill yard.

    cheers
