Bandsaw millers
Hi all. I've been asked to price up knocking out 600 radiata pine trees on a job. Logs are about 400mm at base and are too small for me to mill with my lucas effectively. I'm chasing expressions of interest and prices from those of you out there that wood be able to mill onsite, and have the time to do so. Mainly cutting out 90x35's and 75x40's mostly 2.5 mts long. Cheers all!

Hi Nifty, used to be Pinus elliottii way back in the old days but the shiny-bums have more than likely separated it from all the other pines, redrawn the needles cones and branches, recatalogued and renamed it. Like eucs and corymbias?
Obviously we hortis needed this, especially when teaching the subject.
Does the same job, dunnage, framing, fast plantation.

Get your handsaws sharpened properly to the highest possible standard, the only way they should be done, BY HAND, BY ME!!! I only accept perfection in any saw I sharpen.

Pity I'm not in Perth - nothing wrong driving a Lucas through pine at 400mm diameter, if it's circumference of 400mm that's a totally different idea, but 400mm dia. - thats terrific, I'd love doing it all day and more so the sizes you are talkin too!
I love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!
Allan.

its not worth cutting wholesale but retailing it as framing and teh like its worth cutting. got about 3-400 logs in teh yad now waiting to be cut. most of them are no better than 250.
