    Default barking bar refurbishment

G'day. I'm chasing some advice about 'fixing' a barking bar (taking the bark off logs not taking the bark out of dogs) I picked up at a market the other day. Its forged from an old axle, about 30 mm thick by 1200 long. Its got a chisel point one end and a S shape the other (similar to a tyre lever). I've seen a few blokes using them over the years but have lost contact with them to be able to ask them the advice. They seemed to keep the S end sharp. I'm interested to know what bevels are used etc as one bloke went to great pains to explain to me but I've since forgotten. Any advice?
