Bigger guide bar ???
Hey guys, I am looking for a bigger guide bar for my old McCullough 610 chainsaw. I want probably a 30 inch bar but am not sure which brands will fit my saw, oregon, stihl etc. could anyone please advise me? Also what would be the best type of bar to use as I want to use it in an alaskan type mill??
I will try to get some pics of the original bar up later this arvo...
Thanks in advance,
Lee

Lee, contact sawchain (user name) there are some threads here in small timber milling on guide bars that he has contributed to. He has a website and sells bars and chain, much cheaper than the local chainsaw shop. He gave me a heap of options and prices for bars for my saw before Christmas unfortunately I ran out of money and could not get one.
Cheers,
Mike

mate you nreed a large capacity chain saw to run a 32in bar around 60cc upwards depending what you are cutting , skip tooth chains are a good idea also .most brand bars will have suitable bars to suit your saw ,try a sprocket nose bar . cheers bob
