    Yeh, me too initially then I looked at the log and thought it tapered more than that. I just can't see 8 cube in that log. Something Chris needs to be sure of if he is getting milling quotes etc. So I was just making sure we are talking about a centre diameter.

    Steve, I had a chat with Chris about millers recently, as far as I'm concerned the miller should be responsible for giving him a quote and making sure the quote is right. If the miller doesn't measure the logs right then bad luck for him and he has to wear it. To that end it'd be sensible on Chris's part to have a good idea if how much he has.
