Blackwood butt I picked up today
The tree lopper who dropped my neighbour's Mountain Grey Gum last week told me that he dropped this the week before and if I wanted it, it was mine.
So I dropped in and had a look last Thursday and said okay I'll take, will be back Monday to pick it up.
Didn't have a tape on me at the time but I said it'd depend on whether I could get the truck through the gate as they didn't want it to be rolled down hill and over the retaining wall at the top of their driveway as it would have caused too much damage, so it had to be craned out otherwise it would have ended up as f/wood. Luckily I was just able to squeeze the truck through the gate with 25mm to spare on either side, gate opening was 2550mm and my tray is 2500mm. Had to deploy my crane beforehand, as I wouldn't have been able to do so as the gate was basically straight under the eaves which meant that the backboard on my truck missed the spouting by that much
So in the end I have this bit which I hope to get some nice bits of crotch table tops or coffee table bits and maybe some 4" x 4" for jefferson for some turned boxes if he is nice to me .Cheers
