    Default Burl Problem

I hope I'm in the right place, I have a problem with a Jarrah Burl that was given to me a while back, I want to cut it into slices, about 25mm or what ever works, the burl is an oval shape about 500 long and 300 wide, it's about 250 thick. my problem is if I make a jig and try with the big Husky I will get wedges and waste too much, I reckon that a bandsaw slabber would be the go, but I don't got one. If there is someone in the Mandurah area that can help me I would pay in money or a couple of slices to get it done. I would have sent a pic but I can't get that to work yet. I will try at home tonite (at Work now) I would think that tere would be 5 or 6 slices depending how we can hold it.

Theres always Ken Elliott in Keysbrook. Not too far away. If you take the burl down to him Im sure it will fit across his horizontal bandsaw.
Hes' in the book under K. Elliott.

    Hey Guys,

Contacted Ken Elliott, yesterday, all is good, I am going out there in a couple of weeks to do the job. I will get my Pooh together and get some pics and get them posted.
