Yeah, I think there are probably a few of us who noticed that! Point taken about the weather though, it's a matter of choosing the way you want to die.
If you were using the saw with the tungsten carbide tipped chain you possibly didn't need it anyway? Sounds like nothing stops that thing!

    Cheers,

I'd love to see how you will mill this. So many different junction points, for lack of a better word, that I'd struggle working out how to arrange the grain orientation. Milling photos would provide a master class for us hobby millers.

Will be milling to an audience of Men's Shed members in a few weeks and your more than welcome to join in
Will be sharing some secrets then
Washed stump this arvo but the pics were no good so will post some tomorrow
Will post progressive milling pics to give folk a better understanding of the due process of extracting quarter/flat and rift sawn grain from a Stump log
These big Stumps really make for exciting milling compared to conventional logs
It's all about the figure ...MM

If you are going to do a demo at the mens' shed how about getting someone to video the process?

Which shed and when will need to be answered so the swarm of rubber neckers knows where and when!!

Don't know where I will be at that time as SWMBO and I have some very busy weeks ahead. We are off
to NZ on a fortnight's cruise this Thursday coming, Then a couple of days in Bris, and then some R&R at
home until about 23rd April when some rellies arrive from Brazil.

Now that would be something for them to see!!! MM slicing a stump!!!
