Cara small motor
I have got a firewood splitter and want to put a small engine with a hydraulic pump on, the motor i'm looking at is a'' cara'' and this is what they look like ,has anyone got this type of motor and what is it like, the good or bad about them please ,thank you. Lloyd.

Chinese Honda ripoffs, there are good and bad, just depends on the luck of the draw. I have seen them on firefighting pumps work well and then heard of others who have had nothing but trouble and scrapped them. Just make sure you buy from a shop and get warranty and you should be OK.

I got 4 of them, 2, 5.5hp 1, 6.5hp and 1, 11hp, never had a prob in 4 yrs other than a rope change and always start 1st pull.

I got a 6.5hp pump , fantastic pump , puts out about a thousand litres a minute , I have not got mine setup properly yet , my inlet and outlet pipes are too small at the moment , it is still putting out about 250 litres though , starts first pull most times , especially if I remember to turn the switch on first .
