I am heading out bush again weekend after next, so will get the saw out this weekend and check the raker angles, give them a little touch up as you suggest.
Is it important to keep the rounded shape exact? or is the height the important part?

The rounded shape is important if you want maximum saw performance. Some operators just use a guide and leave the rakers with a flat top. This creates chain vibration, and additional friction which robs engine power. It doesn't matter if you have many horses to play with like on a Lucas but chainsaws usually need every pony they can get
This Vid shows how I set my rakers - of course I don't do this every time. I only set them like this occasionally. In the field I swipe them freehand.
The main thing to look at it how I file them to get the rounded shape - it takes a bit of practice but then it gets easy enough.
